Soccer Forecast Changing With Storm & Tornado Warnings

Anniston/Gadsden, Alabama; Monday, May 31 2010 – The 2 most powerful forces in Northeast Alabama soccer history have joined together for a strategic alliance of premier soccer programs.

The tradition of winning continues as Storm, a competitive soccer program founded in Anniston 1988, and Tornado, an all-girls competitive soccer club founded in Gadsden in 2005, bring their championship pedigrees (8 Alabama State Cup titles, 6 Southeast Regional appearances, 1 National Regional Finalist) together under the East Alabama Futbol Club umbrella.

With tryouts beginning June 4th for the fall 2010 season, the 2 programs are combining resources to enhance the quality of soccer offered to area youth players. “We are very proud and excited to affiliate with a high-quality, recognizable brand such as the Tornado girls program,” said Brian Rohrer, Director of Coaching for the Storm boys program. “The values, vision, and player development philosophies that both programs share made this partnership an inevitable no-brainer.” Bill Haller, President of Tornado soccer club, adds "We are happy to have the opportunity to bring the 3 highest licensed coaches in Northeast Alabama together under one banner”.
